KcalTap Privacy Policy

This policy applies to KcalTap and its nutrition, activity, food-search, and related tracking features.
Information you choose to enter
KcalTap may process nutrition and activity information that you choose to record, such as foods, calories, macro/micronutrient values, exercise entries, goals, preferences, and related tracking data.
Accounts and authentication
If you create or use an account, KcalTap may process account identifiers such as email address and information needed to authenticate you, sync data, restore access, and provide support. Authentication and database infrastructure may be provided by third-party service providers.
Food search, barcode, and photo-based features
Food-search or barcode features may send a query or product identifier to food-data services in order to return nutrition information. If you use a photo-based food-scanning feature, the image or information derived from it may be transmitted to the service used to analyze that image. KcalTap only processes these inputs when you choose to use the relevant feature.
Health and nutrition information
Nutrition calculations and calorie estimates are informational tools and may be incomplete or inaccurate. KcalTap is not a substitute for medical care. Do not use the app as the sole basis for medical or dietary decisions that require professional judgment.
Purchases
App Store purchases are processed by Apple. KcalTap does not receive your full payment-card number, but may receive entitlement or transaction status needed to unlock paid features or restore purchases.
Technical information
Hosting, authentication, API, and diagnostic infrastructure may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, device/browser information, request metadata, and timestamps.
Sale, advertising, and tracking
KcalTap does not sell your nutrition or activity logs for targeted advertising. If analytics, advertising, or tracking practices materially change, this policy and applicable App Store disclosures will be updated.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored information can generally be removed by deleting it in the app or uninstalling the app. For information associated with an online account or support request, contact support to ask about deletion where applicable.
