Privacy at a glance

PocketBI is designed around local-first data work. In the iPhone app, files you import for cleaning, transformation, and visualization are processed on your device during normal use. PocketBI does not sell personal information and does not use imported datasets for targeted advertising.

Files and datasets in the iPhone app

CSV, Excel, and other supported data that you choose to open in PocketBI are processed locally on your device for the app's analysis features. The contents of those imported files are not routinely transmitted to PocketBI servers as part of the normal import, clean, transform, or chart workflow.

You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to use the data you import.

On-device and browser storage

PocketBI may store app settings, project state, preferences, recent workflow information, or similar data locally on your device or in browser storage so the product can function and remember your choices. Removing the app or clearing browser storage may remove locally stored information.

Website and web workspace

When you visit pocketbi.app, standard web infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, device information, request metadata, and timestamps. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process this information on PocketBI's behalf.

The PocketBI web workspace is designed to keep supported file-processing workflows in your browser whenever possible. If a feature requires server-side processing, that feature may transmit the information needed to provide it.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases made in the PocketBI iPhone app are processed by Apple through the App Store. PocketBI does not receive your full payment-card number. PocketBI may receive purchase or entitlement information needed to unlock paid features, restore purchases, or provide support.

Accounts and optional online services

If PocketBI offers optional account, billing, cloud, or support features, those features may require information such as an email address and may use service providers to operate the requested feature. Information provided for those services is used to provide, secure, and support the service.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

PocketBI does not use the contents of imported datasets for advertising. The current PocketBI workflow is not designed around cross-app tracking. If analytics, diagnostics, or advertising practices materially change, this policy and the relevant App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.

Data sharing

PocketBI may use service providers for website hosting, infrastructure, app distribution, payment processing, and support. These providers process information as needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a legally permitted business transfer.

Data retention and deletion

Data stored only on your device remains under your control and can generally be removed by deleting local projects, clearing browser storage, or uninstalling the app. For information associated with optional online services or support requests, contact support to ask about deletion where applicable.

Children

PocketBI is a general-purpose data productivity tool and is not directed toward children. PocketBI does not knowingly use children's personal information for targeted advertising.

Security

PocketBI uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the services it provides. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as PocketBI adds products or changes how features work. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
